He was born in 1883 in Bsharri, Lebanon and immigrated to the United States as a young man. His most famous work is "The Prophet," a collection of 26 poems that have been translated into over 40 languages. Gibran's writing focuses on spirituality, love, and humanity, and he remains a highly influential figure in modern Arabic literature.
