Khalil Gibran was a Lebanese-American writer, poet, and visual artist, widely considered as one of the greatest writers of the Arabic language. He was born in 1883 in Bsharri, Lebanon and immigrated to the United States as a young man. His most famous work is "The Prophet," a collection of 26 poems that have been translated into over 40 languages. Gibran's writing focuses on spirituality, love, and humanity, and he remains a highly influential figure in modern Arabic literature.
