The important role of our Microbiome and Gut Health in our daily lives

The Microbiome and gut health are now more and more on scientists and doctors minds. A healthy gut being regarded as most vital to our overall health. Recent studies are showing evidence for what Naturopathic doctors and health practitioners in Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda and health practitioners in other cultures all over the world have suspected and ‘known’ all along.
Our gut bacteria have a significant influence on our immune system, digestion and mental health. A symbiosis is necessary for our bodies to function properly.

A dysbiosis is responsible for many of our ailments, meaning we do need to strive for a healthy balance of our gram positive and gram negative bacteria and candida albicans which live in our digestive systems. A symbiosis of these microorganisms is vital for living a healthy life.
How do we reach a state of symbiosis and a balance of good gut bacteria and the ‘not so good’ ones?
By eating a healthy diet and focusing on ALKALINE microbiome friendly food rather than eating a diet of highly acidic food.
