Ustrasana – also called the Camel Pose
The name comes from the Sanskrit words Ushtra , Uṣṭra) meaning “camel”, and Asana (आसन, Āsana) meaning “posture” or “seat”.
Traditionally it is seen as opening the “heart centre”.
This asana improves core strength, spinal, hip and shoulder flexibility building stamina and it stretches the front of the throat, activating and stimulating the thyroid gland.
