Vertical Forests

Have you heard of Vertical Forest?
Have you heard of: Stefano Boeri – Architetti?
Stefano Boeri is an Italian architect and urban planner, he was born in Milan, Italy in 1956. He is the founding partner of ‘Stefano Boeri Architetti’ the Boeri architecture studio in Milan. His focus is on giving back to nature while building housing, offices, cities and airports.
He is creating ‘vertical forests’ and ‘forest cities’ in order to combat air pollution. The new buildings will be build and then planted and overgrown with plants and trees which will generate up to 60kg of oxygen every day. Buildings are planned in Nanjing, Lausanne Switzerland, and several other places across the world. Two vertical forests, called Bosco Verticale, have already been built in Milan, Italy.
In an increasingly polluted world, these green designs are a real life saver and could give us a more positive outlook on air pollution and urban living now and in the future.
